Prior to the session you will receive access to a Pinterest board curated to inspire you with the focus of the month’s theme.

In-person: As you arrive at our cosy, calm studio, you’ll be warmly welcomed into a nurturing environment. This time is for settling in, meeting fellow participants, and getting comfortable.

Online: Participants log into a virtual meeting space where they are greeted by Amy Louise and can introduce themselves, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere right from their own creative corners.

Amy Louise, an intuitive artist, begins each session with an introduction, highlighting the theme for the month, which ties into the overarching 'Mystical Cycles' of the year—from lunar cycles and star signs to seasonal celebrations.

A meditation or body scan exercise related to the monthly topic is conducted to deepen your connection with the theme and foster a creative mindset. This practice is designed to help tap into your inner soul and creativity, facilitated in a way that is engaging both in-studio and online.

In-person: All equipment and materials are provided at the studio. Amy demonstrates techniques tailored to the needs and requests of the community.

Online: Participants are advised on materials to have on hand, and Amy guides individuals whe, needed ensuring everyone can follow along from home.

Participants engage in creative journaling to explore the theme personally. This is a time for self-expression, where you're encouraged to release perfectionism and embrace your unique style. The session supports both in-person and online participants equally in exploring their creativity.

There’s an opportunity for those who wish to share their work and thoughts with the group, fostering a sense of community. This is facilitated through group discussions in-person and sharing screens or images online for virtual participants.

The session concludes with participants invited to pull a card from a deck of oracle cards to reflect upon. This moment of reflection discusses insights gained and looks forward to the next session. Participants leave feeling creatively inspired and more confident in their journaling and artistic abilities.

Creative Coven enhances the journaling experience by providing additional resources and opportunities for connection. Members gain access to exclusive online/ in-person sessions, including creative grimoire & creative journal workshops, monthly goddess rituals, and moon ceremonies, which all tie into the themes explored in Creative Journaling.

We tend to focus on collage in a bullet journal style of creation, but other media is certainly welcome!

Collage papers, watercolour, acrylic paint, pens, pencils, pastel, chalks and more available to use at the studio for in-person classes.
